What is Ketera Sourcing?

Ketera Sourcing helps buyers select the right supplier at the best price for any product or service.

This is achieved by creating eRFx’s, conducting online reverse auctions, and awarding bids based on your own criteria.

We have wizards and templates to make this process efficient and easy to use. What key capabilities do I have access to?

What is a reverse auction?

During an online reverse auction, several suppliers (typically 5–20) log on to the auction site. They input several quotes over a 30–90 minute period. These quotes are the price offers for your requested good or service.

Quoting performed in real–time via the Internet helps achieve rapid downward price pressure that is not normally attainable using traditional paper–based bidding processes.
What is an eRFx?

eRFx is an acronym for Electronic Request For [x].

X can be Proposal (RFP), Quotation (RFQ), Information (RFI) or Tender (RFT).

They are also referred to as "Invitation to Tender" and "Pre Qualification Questionnaire".

With Ketera Sourcing, you can compare suppliers more efficiently by creating structured questionnaires.
Is it easy to invite suppliers?

Yes, it is very easy to invite suppliers.

All you need is their email address. The invitation will be emailed to them and they can use the email to register to take part in your event.

To take part in an auction or eRFx the supplier will only need an internet connection and web browser.
What will I do if I don't have known suppliers?

Ketera already has more than 30,000 actively transacting suppliers in our database. For no charge, you can search our database of suppliers by product or category and easily send invites to any of them to take part in your event.
Can I communicate with my suppliers during a reverse auction?

Yes.

Our solution has built-in instant messaging capabilities.

You can choose to broadcast messages to all suppliers at once, or you can chat one-on-one with a supplier.

You can have simultaneous one–on–one conversations with many suppliers.

To ensure best offers possible, suppliers are restricted from chatting with each other.
How can I choose who I award bids to?

You may award contracts to the supplier based on lowest prices, best quality, lead–time, capacity, or other value–adding capabilities.
How can I cancel my subscription?

To cancel, all you need to do is email us at customerservice@ketera.com.

If you cancel your trial membership within 30 days of signing up you will not be charged any fee.

If you cancel any time after 30 days of signing up, your subscription will end on the last day of that month of cancellation.
Are there any hidden / additional fees for running events?

Absolutely not. All you pay is your monthly fee. Nothing else.
